Member Benefits
Address Labels
Members receive free personalized UK mailing labels as a benefit of membership. Annual members receive their labels in their first membership renewal notice and members who have been fully paid Life Members for at least three years receive their labels within their yearly Wildcat Society letter. All other members, including Life Members on a payment plan, can request their labels annually by calling 859-257-8905 or 1-800-269-ALUM.
Alumni Clubs
UK Alumni Association members automatically receive membership within their local alumni club. Alumni clubs are formed on a geographical basis to help members stay actively involved with the university. In addition to automatic membership, members are eligible for leadership positions in their local UK Alumni Club.
Alumni Travel
Members are eligible to take part in exclusive UK Alumni Association Traveling Wildcats program and travel the world to exciting destinations with fellow UK alumni and friends.
Annual Calendar
UK Alumni Association members receive a free 12-month wall calendar annually. This award-winning calendar features full-color images of the UK campus along with important information and dates. The calendar is mailed to members in December.
Aquatic Center Access
Association members have exclusive access to UK’s Lancaster Aquatic Center. For $5 per visit, members can utilize lanes for lap swimming and space for shallow water activities. Members must show their active UK Alumni Association membership card or keytag along with photo ID to take advantage of this benefit.
Athletic Schedules & Posters
Football and basketball schedules and posters are available to members upon request. To make this request, either call 859-257-8905 or 1-800-269-ALUM, or click here to submit your request online.
Athletic Tickets
Football and men's basketball tickets are available for sale to members on a very limited basis. In addition, members are eligible for complimentary tickets for the following UK Olympic sports: volleyball, baseball, gymnastics, and women's basketball. Any notices about ticket availability will probably be delivered by e-mail only, so be sure that you provide us with your correct e-mail address. Click here to learn more about tickets.
Awards
Each year, member dues make possible the administration of several awards, including recognition of Great Teachers at UK, alumni volunteerism and service and the UK Alumni Association Hall of Distinguished Alumni.
Boone Center
Associate members of the UK Alumni Association (members who are not alumni) are eligible along with UK alumni to join the Hilary J. Boone Center. Newly renovated and expanded and located in the heart of the UK campus, the Boone Center offers some of the finest meeting and dining facilities in Lexington. Click here for more information.
Campus Parking Visitor Pass
UK Alumni Association members have the exclusive benefit of receiving a complimentary visitor temporary parking pass, which allows for one-day parking in non-gated E lots on the UK campus. Annual members can receive one pass per calendar year and Life Members can receive up to two passes per year. To request a pass, members can either use the online form
or call 859-257-8905 or 1-800-269-ALUM. The number of passes the association receives per year is limited and passes are available to members while supplies last. Passes must be used within 30 days from the date requested. Click here to view a campus parking map, which designates E lots. Career Services
Valuable and free career services, including individual career advising and assessment, online job search, and access to career resources, are available to members in-person, by phone or via e-mail.
College Support
Member dues support association funding for alumni connections through 16 UK colleges, including the College of Agriculture, College of Arts & Sciences, Gatton College of Business & Economics, College of Communications and Information Studies, College of Dentistry, College of Design, College of Education, College of Engineering, College of Fine Arts, College of Health Sciences, College of Law, College of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, College of Public Health and the College of Social Work.
Connections
Members can search for alumni and former friends, post and read class notes, participate in alumni surveys, advertise your business, and much more through the exclusive online UK Alumni Community.
Discounts
Valuable member discounts are available at hundreds of local and national merchants, including savings on car and hotel rental, dining, apparel, and much more. To take advantage of these great deals through the Member Discount Program, just show your member card or keytag at participating locations. In addition, members receive special insurance rates from Liberty Mutual and Marsh.
E-mail Forwarding
All members are eligible for free branded e-mail forwarding, which forever affiliates you with the University of Kentucky through your own custom "yourusername@ukalumni.net" e-mail address. Sign up from your alumni profile in the Online Directory located at www.ukalumni.net.
Event Invitations
Whether it’s participation in a local alumni club event or coming back to campus for Homecoming, as a member, you’ll be on the invitation list. In addition, members are offered free or reduced admission pricing to most events.
Facility Rental
Members have special access to rent the King Alumni House, which has a number of rooms available for receptions, meals, educational events and overnight lodging located conveniently on the University of Kentucky campus. For more information, click here.
K Fund Points
UK Alumni Association membership counts for 20 points toward the UK Athletics K Fund.
Kentucky Alumni Magazine
As a member, you’ll stay connected with your alma mater through a free subscription to Kentucky Alumni magazine. Through this exclusive publication, members can always stay apprised of University of Kentucky activities, achievements, athletic events, and the success of fellow alumni.
Leadership Opportunities
UK alumni who are members of the UK Alumni Association are eligible for office and service on the association’s Board of Directors.
Legacy Initiative
The Legacy Initiative provides benefits to the children of UK graduates who are members of the UK Alumni Association.
- Future Wildcats - Children of alumni who are association members will receive an annual birthday card and/or gift through age 18.
- Legacy Students - Once enrolled at UK, Legacy students will have the opportunity to take part in special events and programs.
- Legacy Tuition Program - Enables the children of graduates of UK who live out of state and meet certain criteria, including association membership, to attend UK at special out-of-state rates.
Lexington Center Ticket Access
UK Alumni Association members have exclusive access to special discounts, advance ticket notice, no ticket service fees, and preferred seating (when applicable) for select shows at the Lexington Center and Lexington Opera House. Click here for a listing of eligible performances.
Library Access
UK Alumni Association members can obtain a UK Libraries’ Borrowers Card to be used on the University of Kentucky campus. Click here or call 859-257-0500 extension 2159 for specific information about Library resources and services available to UK Alumni Association members.
Lost Key Protection
When you add your UK Alumni Association member keytag onto your keychain, your keys are protected as long as you keep the association advised of your current contact information. If your keys are lost, the finder simply has to drop them in a mailbox and they will be returned, at our cost, to the UK Alumni Association office. We will then look up your record, contact you and mail your keys back to you.
Member Decal, Card & Keytag

Online Community
Members are encouraged to invite other UK alumni to join their Online Community. This new peer-to-peer online program allows alumni to create networks in order to send and receive messages and event invitations within their network of friends, update personal profile information, and use career services.
Program Support
Member dues support association funding for worthwhile programs that directly benefit the students and alumni of the University of Kentucky, such as homecoming, reunions, the Golden Wildcat Society, and a variety of other events.
Record Keeping

Recreation Center Access
Association members have exclusive access to the university’s recreation facility, the Johnson Center. For only $10 per visit, members have complete access to the center, including such facilities as basketball, weight training and conditioning, group fitness classes, climbing, volleyball, badminton, jogging, racquetball, and wallyball. Members must show their active UK Alumni Association membership card or keytag along with photo ID to take advantage of this benefit.
Scholarships
Through the support of members, the association sponsors several scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students on a yearly basis. In addition, various individual UK Alumni Club scholarships are awarded each year to students living in the club's geographic area. Spindletop Hall
UK Alumni Association members are eligible to join Spindletop Hall, an exclusive University of Kentucky club. Family activities at Spindletop Hall include the opportunities to participate in tennis, swimming, diving, golf lessons, running-walking trails, and more. Life Members receive the exclusive benefit of a waived initiation fee when joining the club. STAT
STAT, standing for “students today, alumni tomorrow”, is the association’s official student organization that serves to connect UK students with alumni through service, events, and community. Opportunities for fun and fellowship provide an added dimension to the student experience.
University of Kentucky Advocacy Network
The University of Kentucky Advocacy Network (UKAN) engages, informs and provides opportunities for alumni to communicate with members of the Kentucky General Assembly and other elected officials regarding issues of importance to the University of Kentucky and higher education.
Tax Deductibility
University of Kentucky Alumni Association membership dues are 80% tax deductible and count toward an individual’s total university giving record.
UK Federal Credit Union
As a benefit of membership in the UK Alumni Association, members are eligible to join the University of Kentucky Federal Credit Union.
Wildcat Society
The Wildcat Society is a unique and prestigious program available to all Life Members of the UK Alumni Association. The support of the Wildcat Society helps sustain the many programs that fulfill the association's mission to serve UK and its alumni.
