Stan Key Executive Director of Alumni Affairs and Director of the UK Alumni Association Stan is responsible for all administrative and financial operations of the UK Alumni Association. He received his BA in education from the University of Kentucky in 1972 and his MA in education from Murray State University in 1977. His wife, Mary Jane '72, is a retired public and private school teacher and currently stays busy tutoring adults and children in ESL. They have two sons who are both graduates of UK, Ryan '00 and Neil '04.

Nancy Culp Administrative Assistant/Event Coordinator Nancy works with the Board of Directors, maintains human resources and payroll, coordinates King Alumni House rentals, manages athletic ticket distribution and promotes Institutional Effectiveness. In her spare time, Nancy works with her family showing cattle and horses and likes to read and go antiquing.

Diana Horn Accountant Diana is responsible for the association's accounting management. This includes preparation and presentation of financial reports to the Association's Board of Directors and year-end reports to the University. She is also responsible for reviewing all receivables/payables, maintaining account charts, personnel records and correspondence files. Diana comes from the Markey Cancer Center Foundation where she was the administrator for 15 years. She graduated from UK and received her BS in Accounting in 1970 and MS in Education in 1971. Her hobbies are gardening and reading.

Katherine Maher Assistant Accountant Katie is responsible for assisting the accountant with the association’s accounting management. This includes daily preparation of deposits and payments and reconciliation of accounts. She is also the backup for the Event Coordinator. In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her two children and reading.

Jill Smith Associate Director for Clubs and Programs Jill joined the UK Alumni Association in February 2006. She is a two-time graduate of the University of Kentucky, earning a BBA in Marketing and Management in 2005 and an MS in Career, Technical and Leadership Education in 2011. Jill is responsible for overseeing the association’s Programs area and works most directly with the management of the alumni club network, athletic events and travel, regional programs and university projects. Prior to working at the association, Jill served as an Admissions Counselor at the university where she was responsible for the recruitment efforts in the western Kentucky area. She also spent four years as a student assistant in the Media Relations Department of UK Athletics. Jill is a member of the CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Kentucky Board of Directors and is actively involved with the Lexington area Tri-Delta Alumnae Chapter. She is married to Ryan Smith, ’04 and enjoys sports, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Gretchen Bower Program Coordinator Gretchen is responsible for association programs including scholarships, reunions, homecoming, great teacher awards, and regional programs. She has been with the association since July 2004 and is a 2003 UK graduate with a bachelor's degree in hospitality management. Gretchen earned her master’s degree in sports administration in 2009 from Eastern Kentucky University. She has three nephews and two nieces that she enjoys visiting, and also likes spending time with friends, reading, and watching sports.

Meg Phillips Program Coordinator Meg is responsible for coordinating programming, events and new initiatives for current UK students. She serves as the staff advisor for Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) and Team Wildcat, the UK Alumni Association’s student groups. She also advises the UK Alumni Association’s student involvement in campus events, as well as alumni club events. Additionally, she is the staff contact for the Alumni Service Awards committee. Originally from Henderson, Kentucky, Meg is a 2009 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BBA in marketing and management. She first joined the UK Alumni Association in May 2007 as a student assistant. In her spare time, Meg enjoys traveling, attending UK athletic events and spending time with family and friends.

Alyssa Thornton Alumni Program Coordinator Alyssa assists with club programming, specifically focusing on new alumni clubs. She coordinates programs pertaining to constituent groups, alumni student recruitment, service based initiatives, and special events. Additionally, Alyssa is the staff contact for the Diversity and Group Development Committee. A native of Danville, KY, Alyssa received a BA in Communication Studies from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina in 2006. She also received a MS in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from UK in 2011. Alyssa is an avid sports fan, enjoys running and playing soccer.

Robin Boughey Clubs/Program Assistant Robin is responsible for updating and maintaining the Alumni Association Club events calendar and for assisting the Associate Director and Program Coordinators with events and programs. She also serves as the staff liaison for club members. Originally from Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Robin is a 2008 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BBA in finance and management. She is married to Craig Boughey (08 graduate) and in her spare time, enjoys attending sporting events (especially UK) and spending time with friends and family.

Leslie Hayes Program Coordinator Leslie supervises front desk operations and customer service and is the membership program coordinator. Leslie coordinates all membership specific programs including Alumni Career Services, The Traveling Wildcats program and the Legacy Initiative. She has been with the association since 2006. Leslie has three children that keep her busy outside of work. In her spare time, Leslie enjoys outdoor activities, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Caroline Francis Alumni Career Counselor Caroline Francis is a Nationally Certified Career Counselor (NCCC) and Master Career Counselor (MCC) with over 15 years of experience working with adults and students in all stages of career transition. In her role of Alumni Career Development with UK, she assists individual clients, develops career-related programming, and writes regular columns for the UK Alumni magazine, Career Cat blog, and monthly e-newsletter.

Kelly Allgeier Alumni Career Counselor Kelly is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) who joined the Alumni Association in 2010. She has experience working in career development with undergraduate, graduate students, and alumni in all phases of career transition. As an alumni career counselor, she works individually with clients, assists with career program development, and writes columns for the CareerCat Blog and UK Alumni Magazine. Kelly is a 2008 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BA in Psychology and Sociology, and earned a MA in Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University.

Kelli Elam Associate Director for Communications and Membership Kelli is responsible for overseeing all association strategic print and electronic communications, which includes serving as editor of Kentucky Alumni magazine. She manages the association’s public relations initiatives and non-dues revenue income, including affinity partnerships, sponsorship, and print and online advertising. Kelli joined the association staff in 2004 in the position of Senior Information Specialist, and was later Corporate and Public Relations Manager. Prior to that, she worked as a sports writer/editor/photographer. When not working, she enjoys outdoor activities, reading, and watching sports – especially the Wildcats!

Linda Perry Managing Editor, Kentucky Alumni As managing editor of Kentucky Alumni, Linda Perry is responsible for the day-to-day logistics to produce the UK Alumni Association's quarterly magazine. She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from UK in 1984.

Albert Kalim Webmaster Albert graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BS in computer science and currently studying for his MS. He manages www.ukalumni.net, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube. Albert enjoys playing basketball and spending time with family and friends.

Jeff Hounshell Senior Graphic Designer Jeff is responsible for the design and production of all print collateral for the UK Alumni Association, including Kentucky Alumni magazine as well as all membership and club materials. Prior to joining the UK Alumni Association, Jeff worked for three years with Host Communications as director of graphic design, and six years with Hammond Design Associates in Lexington. A resident of Winchester, KY, Jeff enjoys woodworking in his spare time, as well as traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.

Molly Clark Publications Production Assistant Molly is responsible for assisting with the communications efforts of the UK Alumni Association. She manages the association’s social media presence and writes for the association’s print and electronic communications, including Kentucky Alumni magazine, Wildcat Connection monthly electronic newsletter, and Out of the Big Blue Blog, the association’s official blog. Molly joined the UK Alumni Association in 2012. Prior to that, she worked in the UK College of Medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Phillip, trying out new restaurants and taking her pomeranian, Essie, for walks.

Linda Brumfield Account Clerk III Linda has been with the UK Alumni Association since 1972 and is experienced in many areas, having worked various positions during her many years at the association. Linda’s primary responsibility is to process all membership dues and Wildcat Society gifts for the association. She also updates alumni records, processes legacy information, and manages historical dues. In her free time, Linda enjoys hiking around the state, crafts, and spending time with family and friends.

Katie Murphy Membership Specialist Katie joined the UK Alumni Association in 2010 and oversees the front desk and customer service operations. She handles new and renewed memberships, information updates and changes, membership acknowledgments, member requests, and membership mail fulfillment. Katie is a 2006 Kentucky Wesleyan College graduate with a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in Communications. She is a central Kentucky native and in her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, riding horses, and watching movies.

Halee Griggs Kennon Membership and Marketing Specialist Halee has been with the association since 2011. She is a 2006 graduate of Georgetown College and has a BA in Communication and Media Studies. Halee is responsible for membership marketing activities, including new member attainment and retention, non-member marketing, student memberships, and the Wildcat Society. In addition, she coordinates membership services and benefits. In her spare time, Halee enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends; gardening; decorating; and being a news junkie.

Information Systems and Records

John Hoagland Associate Director of Alumni Information Services John supervises the records department, which is charged with maintaining over 285,000 records of UK Alumni and non alumni members of the UK Alumni Association. He also supervises the alumni information services department, which is responsible for maintaining and upgrading the desktop hardware and software of the UK Alumni Association staff, administering the security of our internal network, maintaining compliance with UK computing policies, administering the Online Community, and overseeing phone and fax services. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and pets and gardening, jet skiing, camping and fishing.

Randall Morgan IS Tech Support As a member of the information systems and records department, Randall manages the computer network and infrastructure for the Alumni Association. He also writes Web-based programs and researches and implements new technologies.

Darlene Simpson Senior Data Entry Operator Darlene is currently senior data entry operator in the records department. In addition to working at the association she also works a part-time job and is currently enrolled at Lexington Community College. Darlene volunteers with several community organizations and is active in her church. Away from work, she enjoys spending her time with her two daughters and five grandchildren. She stresses the importance of family and friends. She is a woman on the go and never sits still.

Brenda Bain Records Data Entry Brenda is the senior member of the data entry team having completed 30 years of service. She is also the records historian having researched the history of degrees and majors offered at UK since the first graduating class of 1869. She also updates records with athletic, fraternity/sorority and other organizational information, records marriages and unfortunately, alumni who have passed on. Her hobbies include crocheting, learning Spanish and collecting black and white cows, evident in her office.

Frances White Data Entry Operator Frances has been with the association since April 2000. She devotes most of her time processing address changes from alumni membership, publications, clubs and college mailing returns. In her time away from work, Frances enjoys spending time with family and friends, working in her garden and reading.
