UK Alumni Band Reunion

October 28-29, 2011

You are cordially invited to Alumni Band Weekend 2011!  Join us in honoring Harry Clarke, director emeritus of the Wildcat Marching Band, who retired from teaching at the end of the 2011 school year.  Under Harry's leadership the Wildcat Marching Band became renowned for their innovative shows and high level of performance nationwide, and the School of Music, in the College of Fine Arts, enjoyed tremendous growth that laid the foundation for years to come.

Meal will be catered by Billy's Bar-B-Q and a complimentary bar will be available. 
A silent auction will raise money to support the Wildcat Marching Band.
Cost: $10 for non-marching guests or family

Headquarters: BCTC - Bluegrass Community and Technical College (located at Cooper Drive and Sports Center Drive)

10:00 a.m. - Check-in/Silent Auction continues - BCTC
11:00 a.m. - Music rehearsal - BCTC
12:30 p.m. - Lunch (provided for marching members - courtesy of UK Bands)/social time - BCTC
2:00 p.m. - Field rehearsal (Alums) - Shively Complex
2:30 p.m. - Field rehearsal (Alums & WMB) - Shively Complex
4:45 p.m. - Catwalk/Little Blue Band (optional activity) - Commonwealth Stadium
5:45 p.m. - Meet in BCTC for march to the stadium (optional activity)
6:00 p.m. - March to the stadium (optional activity)
6:45 p.m. - Pre-game performance with the WMB (all alums)
7:00 p.m. - Kickoff
8:30 p.m. - (approx.) Halftime performance with Wildcat Marching Band (all alums)

Participants mush register by September 23, 2011 for the early bird deadline.  Please notify us on the registration form if you need an instrument. 

Please note: you must wear the alumni band t-shirt to be admitted onto the field.  If you need to order a shirt, please fill out this form .  Additional Alumni Band items are also available for purchase.  The deadline to purchase a shirt has been extended to October, 1, 2011.
