Welcome to Northern Alabama!

There are approximately 550 UK alumni living in the Northern Alabama area. All alumni are welcome to join in the University of Kentucky alumni network.

The Northern Alabama UK Alumni Club was established in 1991 as an official club of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association. We have a slate of officers and a steering committee of 10 members.

We are always looking for new programming ideas and new leaders. If you have an idea for a program you would like to initiate, let us know.

Traditional events include:

May: Kentucky Derby Party
August: Student Send-off Party for students in the area heading to UK for a new academic year.
Football Season: UK vs. U of L game watch party
Basketball Season: Selected UK games

If you are looking for a closer connection to the university, you can find it here. Each year we hold a number of events. We celebrate ?My Old Kentucky Home? at our annual derby party. We get together from time to time to cheer the Wildcat football and basketball teams. We participate in student recruiting and are raising funds for a scholarship to help a student from this area attend the University of Kentucky.
