The University of Kentucky Alumni Association is pleased to provide financial support to undergraduate and graduate students attending the University of Kentucky. During 2016-2017, the UK Alumni Association and Alumni Clubs are providing over 175 students with scholarships, ranging from $500 -- $2,500. These awards are available through an application process that is independent of the need-based financial aid process.
Eligibility and Application Process
Incoming freshmen with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and minimum 22 ACT or 1100 SAT (M+EBRW) will automatically be considered for Alumni Scholarships. No separate application is required. Information from your Admission application will be automatically considered for the appropriate scholarships.
Current UK students – Students must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Kentucky with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. To apply, the online application must be submitted by February 17, 2017. Click on the link above to apply.
*Please note: some Alumni Association Scholarships require applicants to be a student member of the UK Alumni Association. In addition, some alumni scholarships require applicants to have a parent or guardian who is a University of Kentucky graduate and a member of the UK Alumni Association. Make sure the parent-child relationship is up to date in the Alumni Association records.
The deadline for incoming freshmen to be admitted to UK and for current UK students to submit the alumni scholarship application is February 17, 2017. Recipients will be chosen in the spring of each year and notified by June 1. Most awards are for one academic year.

UK Alumni Association Scholarships
The UK Alumni Association holds a scholarship in the Office of Academic Scholarships called the UK Alumni Association Scholars. This scholarship has the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Kentucky must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Incoming freshmen must have a minimum ACT score of 22 or a SAT score of 1100 (M+EBRW)
- Some alumni scholarships require applicants to be a student member of the UK Alumni Association.
- Some alumni scholarships require applicants to have a parent or guardian who is a University of Kentucky graduate and a member of the UK Alumni Association. Make sure the parent-child relationship is up to date in the Alumni Association records by clicking here. Please note in the “Additional comments” section that your child is a UK student.
Alumni Club Scholarships – based on the hometown of student.
The Alumni Club scholarships are available to students living in the Club's geographic area. Any student who applies to the university will be automatically considered for the appropriate club scholarship available to students from their home area. If returning students are eligible to receive the club scholarship from their home area, they do not need to apply separately either – each eligible student will be automatically considered.
