All alumni are welcome to join in the University of Kentucky Alumni Network.
Charlotte has much to offer as a city and steadily attracts transplants from all over the country. Whether you are a longtime resident or new to town the invitation is always open to friends of the Big Blue Nation to attend one of our exciting University of Kentucky related events.
Charlotte members watch UK’s 2012 title run at the club’s uptown home, Blackfinn Saloon.
Our club, the Queen City CATS, engages in numerous activities throughout the year including: Game watches (football and basketball), trips to Columbia, SC to watch the Wildcats take on the Gamecocks, happy hours – both social and cultural, a true KY backyard Derby Party, community service, and university support (recruiting, student send-offs, Dance Blue events, ets.). We aide the local community by sponsoring an annual scholarship for a Mecklenburg area high school student set to attend as well as participate in “Cats for a Cause” by helping out a reconstruct a local garden used to feed people who cannot care for themselves.

If you are in North Carolina and you want to drive around with a little piece of Kentucky on your car, you can. After many years of effort we have made the University of Kentucky North Carolina license plates a reality.
If you would like to purchase one of these license plates, please visit the NCDMV’s website:
If you are like me, you like to watch UK sporting events with other Kentucky fans. Tin Roof Charlotte (210 E Trade Street, Suite 286, in the 2nd level of the Epicentre, beside Studio Movie Grill) has just opened in Charlotte and is going to be a great host to our game watches. We are going to have a large projector screen in front of the stage. Several of the managers / employees there have Lexington / UK ties and this place will feel like home to many of you who have watched games at the location in Charlotte. Come early, get loud and wear blue!
We are always looking for new ideas and new leaders. We aim to utilize the talents of our fellow UK Alum to take our club to the next level, so if you would like to get involved, please let us know.
One of the best ways to keep up with the current events with the Charlotte Club is through our Facebook page. All of our events and communications, big or small, are posted on our wall. Please join us and meet some new friends!
If you have any questions, you are more than welcome to contact me.
